@Errrrbo User scores are meaningless. The vast majority of people who care enough to give a user score are either going to give the game the max or the minimum. User scores are also very reactionary. Look at Portal 2 and its user score. I'm sure Dragon Age 2 is a half-decent game, but it's not what rabid Bioware fans wanted, hence it being scored so poorly.

People need to get over the Metacritic hate. Time is valuable, and 99% of the time, low metacritic score = bad game and vice versa. Obviously, you should read the individual reviews/play it yourself and form your own opinion, though. That should go without saying.

Someone who already believes that Portal is the greatest game of all time putting their reasons into text is not going to sway me. I finished that game, therefore I have my views on it and other people will have their own. I could read the text a million times, I still can't comprehend how someone could say it's #1. But that's my opinion; it doesn't mean anything more than any other opinions floating out there. So please, don't insult my reading comprehension. I just don't agree. That's all I'm saying.

Interesting day to post this list...

With Portal as the #1, I have to wonder if this is an April Fools joke. No offense to Portal (I enjoyed it myself), but it is in no way the greatest game of all time as voted on by an entire office. Maybe 1 person, but all of you?

I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion, I just personally can't see how you could say that.

Hmm...kinda debating picking this up. I own a copy of the PS2 version, but I haven't gotten around to playing it. How's the camera in the 3DS version, I wonder?

Pretty barren launch when the billionth port of Rayman 2 sounds exciting...

Also, the framerate worries me. Hopefully that's just Ubi's laziness and isn't indicative of the system's strength.

I personally agree with the death penalty. As others have said, the world is overcrowded already, why not off the bad people?

That said, not giving the convicts any warning of their impending death is kinda odd...everyone deserves the chance to make their peace if they so desire with some advance warning.

Before anyone says it, that's not a religious notion, it's human. I feel that people should get to come to terms with the end of their lives (or try to). Kinda like giving someone their "last words" before killing them. I guess to be fair though, if someone killed a loved one of mine, I would want them denied of as many rights as possible. I'm still human. Maybe it depends on the nature of the crime?

I suppose I don't have a point :p

Ahhh...memories of playing my yellow Gameboy pocket (the first system I ever owned). Still have it, though the battery cover is busted.

Great list, only things I'd add are Wario Land and maaaaybe Donkey Kong Land.

Perhaps a touch harsh...

I'd give it a 7, having spent maybe 13-14 hours with the game (which is likely more than most reviewers played of it). Not saying you're guilty of this, Mr. Taylor, just saying there are some I'd suspect of going: "Oh, it's a Dynasty Warriors game, give it an hour and throw something together, who cares?"

The amount someone will enjoy this game is entirely based upon whether or not they play with 3 other friends. Not single player, not random online rooms but playing with friends. I just wonder if any reviewers got 4 copies of the game and actually played together before passing final judgment. Doubtful.

Anyway, not sure why I'm playing defense force right now. Sort of bored and just tired of seeing something I got talked into buying (and kind of enjoy, on a weird level) get dumped on.

Nice review, I can't wait to get my hands on the game tomorrow.

The, "Is it Better Than...?" segments are really starting to wear on me though. A game like Borderlands is sort of peerless due to it's genre mashup. How is it better or worse than ODST?
