On topic, there's no way it can't deliver. Simply by its feature-set alone, even if the mechanics haven't changed from GT5 Prologue, it will be more than worth the $60 (convert according to region)it will cost.
The only deal-breaker for me is if you can't customize the HUD like you couldn't in GT5 Prologue. I hate all the crap they clutter your view with, it's just distracting. Plus, what's the point of cockpit view if the speedometer etc are displayed twice?
What do you think of the possibility of full console games being put on a full PS3 version Steam? Like PC games are put on the PC's Steam. Obviously Sony would have to get a cut, but devs could save on production costs of physical media, without worrying about piracy.
WHAT THE HELL! This is the first time after 100 episodes that I'm truly pissed at you guys. How can you possibly think it's OK to talk spoilerifically about Iron Man 2 -a WEEK after it's out- without warning us first?! Even when trying to skip ahead I heard spoilers every time I tried to see whether you guys were done. What the hell.
My new years resolutions are to complete every game I buy, instead of forgetting them as soon as I buy a new one. Most importantly of those are GTA IV and MidnightClub: LA.
If there isn't a hint in there somewhere, then I'll be damned. ;)
Interesting article, I'll definitely look out for those points when reading the coming reviews (especially if they concur or not).
However I think multiplayer will be noticed a lot. After playing the beta I can reassure anyone who didn't get in that it's deeply satisfying, apart from some balancing issues (which will hopefully have been ironed out in the release). Also, it incorporates all the good aspects you listed, while leaving out all the bad ones! :D
