@MitsuharuSan,
The American's limbs can also be taken/torn off, not just the Japanese. So can the Russians, and Germans.
And in response to your comment "I'm sick of games portraying the Japanese as enemies": Name one game other than Waw that the Japanese are enemies.
But then again, it's not like the Japanese tried to TAKE OVER THE WORLD! Oh wait, they did.
I'm sorry but the Japanese have not been targeted racially in any video game I've heard of, and if they were than that is wrong but in WaW they weren't.
However, that said I am 100% sympathetic to the amount of ignorance that the majority of Americans show and also the amount of "USA FTW" I think that racism is wrong and feel for your family that has suffered when those things were happening.
Nothing personal but you were playing it that WaW is racist, if I came off rude or racist I didn't mean it and apologize. No hard feelings.
@crazycrazy83:
This character is supposed to be a cool way to show all the different aspects that make an awesome character, if you don't like it that's too bad, lay off GR.
I'm surprised you all find the Gears of War advertisements "useless". Yes, it doesn't accurately showcase the game and it's fast paced action, gory head shots, and disturbingly brutal curb stomps, it catches your attention and intrigues you to buy the game and see what it's all about. To put it in perspective for you; anyone who enjoys the Gears of War series probably felt like shooting up some locust for no apparent reason after watching the video(I know I sure did).
@overlorduk: couldn't have said it better myself, WaW is basically what CoD3 would've been if they had a proper amount of time to do it. And I mean that in a good way considering that CoD3 is maybe the best game ever when you consider it was made in like 1 thir of the time it took to make 4.
Okay, now that I've read the article and I'm not just typing random junk as fast as I can to ensure no one beats me to second:
The only thing that the modern warfare side used against WaW is that it's set in modern times. But, who's to say which is better? Personally, the time period the game is set in is one of the last things I look for when buying a game. (Oh, and if you refuse to dismiss the time period, I have one thing to say to you: Frantically blowing the limbs off of half crazed suicidal Japanese soldiers storming your bunker vs. laying in a field while your (ferocious!) enemies walk right past you. Hmmmmmm...) Also, exploding headshots, paintball guns, and "Rage mode" aren't even in the same ball park as running around at an exaggerated speed with low visibility and piano music in the background(Ragtime warfare). AND! MW side says that WaW isn't special for having a flamethrower, because "every other game" has one, but doesn't that only make 4 sub par for not having one?
Post Script: For all you on the fence about which game is superior: Can you incinerate zombies in a haunted house with your buddies in Modern Warfare? I think not.
