well hang on a bit, you don't have a monopoly on what is a great game. Naughty bear is a good deal more entertaining than Madworld, which frankly, is a bit shit. and after constantly being bombarded by your glowing recommendation of Okami i was rather dissapointed.

different strokes for different people, and just because a game steps a bit out of the formula does by no means make it interesting or better than the tried and true. i'll take another CoD over something like Psychonauts anyday, because in the end, nothing beats pulling of headshots in the good company of your friends. a pretentious wolf with a magic paintbrush isn't even close.

everyone DO play to win, it's just not everyone who will go to the extremes to do so.

2012 is exactly what i am expecting as well.

whether Sony or MS is the first to launch their console the other will soon follow. im not so sure the next MS console will be called XBOX 720 though, if they even keep the XBOX name it isnt unlikely that they will stop naming by degrees.

unless Nintendo completely changes form their new console will be more or less irrelevant and have no bearing on the sales of PS4 or MS' new console.

looking forward to new consoles myself. sure they still have some life in them, but technology has improved heaps since 360 and ps3 were launched.

i like it, but some new games would be good.

ive already played ocarina, it was averagely decent then, and will still be on the 3DS. same game.

already played snake eater, was awesome then, no need to play it for the umpteenth time.

already played mario kart, nothing new there.

kid icarus could be really good.

if that screen of Kingdom Hearts was from the 3DS i cant see how you can claim Resi to be prettiest portable game. but i suppose it wasnt :(

paper mario is so good it may be worth a purchase even if its just a remake.

SFIV is overrated, and shallower than an alcoholics brandy-bottle. its its 2010, i expect fighters to have more than 14 attacks per character, i also expect devs to balance the game so you cant just tiger-punch to win.

i want pokemon to go 3D, with Stadium graphics. and a Super Smash Brothers would be awesome too. Metroid couldnt possibly go wrong on the 3DS either, but instead nintendo wants me to play Epona's song on that damn Ocarina again, in a game that is nowhere near as good as A Link To The Past. no thanks, i'll get the 3DS for sure, but Ninty can keep this rehashed crap to themselves.

E3 this year has been meh all over, skyward sword is looking like the same old trite, wonder if we get the boomerang or hookshot first this time, oh the exitement. MS didnt impress, nor did Sony. luckily i have all the current gen consoles, so the few gems that pop up will be available to me whichever platform its for.

my 360 is green, so i hope Natal will be available in more colours.

i hardly think this game will make me question the existence of a god or devil any more than Harry Potter made me question the existance of a world of magic hidden away from ours in plain sight.

but maybe the reviewer was trying to make a point by taking the phantasmagoria further by common example.

i'd have liked to seen it compared to heavy rain, QD seems to think they are the only studio to care about storytelling (which obviously isnt a whole lot).

the length of the game isnt all that bad, but it has no MP, very little replay value and its the closing chapter in a trilogy (discounting CoO), so this game could have stretched itself a bit longer than previous GoW games. go out with a bang.

i can really see this happening, 3 years seem like a tad too soon, but 4 years and i have no trouble seeing resistance FoM at least being played on a phone. it doesnt have to look like FFXIII for it to be ps3 quality, any ps3 game will do.

furthermore i can see handheld gaming devices reach current gen graphics in little over 2 years, and they handle like less of a bitch, fingers crossed.

video games can by definition not be art, nor can cars. for something to be art the purpose of its existence has to be the existence itself. objects made for some function can not be art.

Braid is artsy, but it isn art. creating games can be seen as an art, but with a whole different meaning of the word.

say you didnt have any of the consoles, and you really wanted MW2 due to all the hype and buying a console would be much cheaper than upgrading your pc. if you really just wanted MW2 then you would go for the console with the timed exclusive.
i have both consoles and chose to get it for ps3, timed exclusives be damned. its no deal breaker, but still something to rub in ps3 fanboys' noses.

a few maps just wouldnt be enough to make the game fresh again. a zombie mode or something of the kind would be awesome, just not nazis, the zombies would make no sense on their own.
the thought of adding weapons would bring more diversity to the game and make it feel fresher again, but would make it unbalanced and unfair to those that didnt buy the DLC (like how Cold Storage utterly ruined Socom).

if they add weapons they should be free, any content providing any form of advantage should be free, period.
some new game modes would be cool too, Halo is really creative with game modes, MW2 should try the same.

MW2 requires much more actual skill than killzone, mag and BC2 combined, because all those games arent about skill, but rather tactics and cooperation. MW2 is no more luck-based than any other shooter, and seing as its the fastest paced, and being a twitch shooter it requires loads more reaction, awereness and accuracy than any other current fps. if luck was all there is to it, i wouldnt have a 1.7 KDR when all i do is quickscope.

oh, and clancy's novels are about as clever as the da vinci code. they outright suck. try some Ludlum or Baldacci.

loving BC2, its really more fun to play with friends than MW2 ever was. just a few issues as i see it, but they are pretty glaring. in core mode, everyone is a bullet-sponge, but hardcore fixes that. too many overpowered vehicles. and too easy to spawntrap someone, or to be spawntrapped. the different classes really make the game more teamwork focused, but make sure youre playing with friends or people with coms, or else everyone will just go Recon, whether they actually can use the sniper or not. but thats no fault of the game.

well, not upgrading my pc this year either. the few of those i care about, are also for the consoles.

i want the luffy costume so badly.

cosplay envokes mixed feelings in me, i despise the homemade and outrageously laughable attempts at it, especially with coloured wigs etc. but more subtle cosplaying is always cool, but very expensive.
