I don't have a current-gen console as of yet. 6 months ago, I would've said that the 360 was the sure bet, and the PS3 could go to hell. With the unveiling of what scientists call "The Awesomest Q1-2 Evar", the PS3 is now the definitive gaming system to own: Heavy Rain and Last Guardian are the two Goliaths that very few 360 exclusives can beat, if any at all, IMO.

I got my bitching out of the way and after reading the pieces I dared to, I have a few constructive comments: For GTA5, I honestly think Rockstar needs to leave the U.S. All but one (GTA London) have been in the US of A, and it's getting old. There was much talk about GTA going to Japan, but I propose Europe. That way, there'll be opportunity for travel without drastically changing the style, and there'll be opportunity to see some old architecture, old churches and the like. All the US offers is tall buildings and deserts. It's time to go abroad, Rockstar.

As for Half-Life 3 or Episode 3, where the hell are you? It's been over 9000 years since episode 2. I'm achin' for some Half-Life, Valve...

This is kind of an asshole feature: I haven't played it yet, and won't until I get a console, and I care enough about the game to not have it spoiled for me. So basically, I'm missing out on a feature and also the first segment of the podcast. Fuck you guys.

PS: After hearing/reading about I Have No Eyes and I Must Scream, I'm fucking enthralled. Ordered the book in my library and I'm looking for the game, either by torrent or by legal passages.

I still have to play Okami, Psychonauts, Beyond Good and Evil, I'll do it soon, probably over Xmas break.

Also, I have the Neverhood, and installed it a couple of days ago after ignoring it for years, COINCIDENCE OMG. That game is fucking awesome, and the "graphics" hold up due to it being a claymation. That Weasel(?) scene was hilarious. Also, there's a tree whose berries make the dude burp, which gets longer every time. I ate 3-4 berries and the guy burped for 20 minutes straight - I thought I had broken the game. I'm playing through it right now.

The thing that makes me so infatuated in this game is that, unlike every other game made since the first Half-Life, you are a simple human being; not a superhero with wicked cool powers, but a dude with a shield and sword. The concept of being rewarded for skill as opposed to the number of bullets you can shoot in the shortest time possible is very alluring. Sony's relaunch of their PS3 as the Slim is about to get an onslaught of excellent, console-defining games, this being just the first.
