@TheHungryLemur: no, it's definitely before Portal 2, I'm not sure whether it's before or after the original (I never played it). But I think it's after, since she has the portal gun (excellent way to scratch your back!). In the last 2 years, I think there's been 3 films that I've liked. Hollywood's becoming less about the art and more about the money every day; so is gaming, for that matter, but we're still in the early years yet. Soon there won't be a damn form of entertainment left. Movies, games, music, hell even porn's going downhill. Oh well, it doesn't matter; there'll be a shit storm once the oil runs out anyway (thank you, last generation!). The water table's dropping like a stone too, and the economy is designed to be teetering over the edge constantly. And what will the human race's response be? To fucking fight. Of course, it'll bring the population down, but if it goes nuclear, we're fucked. Ah well, Duke Nukem's coming out in a couple of weeks. Stay positive, right? Also, what happened to those wind-up chattering teeth? I haven't seen them in years. |

But the PS3 doesn't get custom maps. That's what the customers care about. That and new content for the brilliant, but ultimately short campaign (I know most games are short, but my mind's still back in the days of the PS2). And the Turret Opera. That's just beautiful. Also, New Scientist reported recently that ReCaptcha can be bypassed by computer, so can we get rid of it now? It's got to the point where you have to search for one that's legible; honestly, it's worse than my handwriting, which is on par with a (unusually smart) spider's. |

Why is the fact that you can skip cutscenes so overlooked? I mean, come on! Also, MGS4 is my favourite PS3 game. And MGS1 my favourite PS1 game. And MGS2 my 5th favourite PS2 game. I never played MGS3. I like the MGS games. Probably why my CVG ID is Gaseous Snake (it's what Solidus should have been called). |

Just played Space Invaders as a flash game on browser, I hereby claim it to be the best game ever. Seriously, play it, it's still fantastic. Even against MGS4, which I love, and was playing at the same time (I'm quite good at playing 2 games simultaneously; it's twice the fun, and loading times don't bore you! |

These aren't the things we moan about! They are: EA/Activision's refusal to provide decent servers (BF excluded). COD. Everything within COD. Everyone who plays COD. The acronym COD (I genuinely hate it). Shortness of games. Lack of originality in games (FPSs in particular). Game-ruining changes in sequels (RF:G 3rd person). Lack of character development. Lack of variety in weapons/vehicles/settings. Over-priced DLC. Gimmicks (3D, Move, et cetera). Facebook on PS3 (and maybe 360, I don't know). The Wii. Activision. Treyarch. Sony keeping things secret for too long. Microsoft's bribery. Lacking polish/unfinished games (e.g TDU2). Out of date engines (Gamebryo-Fallout). Microphones (just plain hate the things). Gamers who don't play as a part of a team. ReCaptcha. All that, and I'm 15. |

Y'know, guys, this is technically the first review, and I must say, anything less than 11/10 from GR now is unacceptable. Unbefrickin'lievable; it actually exists! Ah come on, they get upgrades? Well, at least we get hybrid weapons (they're almost certain, since the Marksman in R2 was the first one, so more are likely). I never really cared for Hale, I've always liked Resistance because of it's scenery; I remember on R2 when I first saw those humongous ships; they scared the shit out of me. I just hope they've smoothened out the gun's handling, I always thought is was poor, although I can't really explain why. |

Ah, crap, just realised this is made by Activision. I hope they don't ruin this like they have done with all their other games. Prototype is my favourite sandbox game; if this becomes crap, then I don't know what I'll do to mess around. Well, this game has potential, but at this point, that's about all that can be said. On a completely unrelated note; on Play.com, all of the games I've listed below are set for a 25/3/2011 release. Is this true? Because my wallet's gonna suffer if it is. Infamous 2, Brink, Deus Ex 3, TDU2, FEAR 3, Crysis 2, MS: Apocalypse, and RF: Armageddon. Total price: £320. And I want the lot. |

Now, I like everything about this game, except the racing; it's too slow-paced to be enjoyable. But if you're into simulators, congrats- now if only they'd do the same thing for shooters (BFBC2 comes close, but it can still get frustrating at times). |

How can you say that a game is a clone of it's predecessor, then go on to give it a 9? I'm disappointed in you GR, I thought you were better than this. 11 out of 14 of my online friends are playing this; I'm going to set my comment as an insult to Black Ops, and see how many people get angry with me, followed by me arguing with them for my own amusement, followed by me tallying up how many people I get bored of and block so they don't begin to irritate me. My record was 17, for MW2. And yes, this amuses me. I build up a friends list full of idiots before the release of any CoD, or CoD-like (i.e. crap) game, just so I have plenty of victims. It's a system I like to call 'bemuse, abuse, but never over-use'. Well, it has been since 14 seconds ago, anyway. |

I'm getting the CE for christmas, it's gonna be brilliant! Although if it's going into next year's Golden Joystick awards, it's gonna have some massive competition. Don't talk about logic in a game where you're the only person who can survive a bite from a zombie. Also, try using the pole weapon (broom + machete). Melee weapons are more powerful than guns in this game. Also, use quick step (wine + wine) for health, that'll sort out your speed problems. |

I've had this game since Monday, and this review doesn't do the game justice. If the boss fights were too hard, you were obviously using the wrong weapon (try and good melee weapon, and it'll do wonders). The save points are alright, you just need to get used to surviving. And while the graphics may not be up to the par of, say, Uncharted 2, they do their job rather well. Also, you didn't mention TIR, co-op, costumes (where a flaw does lie), shops, or the remarkably good mission-guide-arrow-thingy. |

What about Cold Winter? That was an awesome game! I'll forgive you for not mentioning Black, since Bodycount is it's successor (sort of). Oh, and hell yes to R&C! I love that series, but they really fucked up every game after Gladiator. Bring 'em back! |

Just this morning, me and a friend were talking about precisely the same thing! Good-o! I also think it should be possible to play with a friend (like one of you kneels behind a guy, the other pushes him), it's make it fantastic! Also, while there aren't any fun games out at the moment, DR2 and Duke Nukem Forever (it's not been delayed since last week!) both promise to be, and who could forget Worms? And I'm sure Portal 2 will have quite a bit of comedy (Stephen Merchant) as well. |
