I would play a beat 'em up based on Blackest Night, the current DC event. Blackest Night is basically: Black Lantern rings are given to dead people (Mostly superheroes), making them intelligent zombies. Fighting zombie superheroes would be so awesome.
The Metroid I know was this: You alone, on one planet, without help, in a dark, cold, dreary setting... Fighting the WHOLE planet, discovering forgotten relics, powering yourself up many times and destroying the menace. Also, getting the hell out of there when the self-destruct starts counting down.
IW is releasing two (2) map pakcs before the game is even out. And they will cost money. Are they retarded? Why not include them IN THE GAME. Do they just want more money?
How about Rainbow Six: River City? The various street gangs have gotten their hands on some surprisingly powerful tech, and the Rainbow team needs to infiltrate and take out the supplier and its kingpin, Slick. Locations such as shoe shops, diners, sushi bars, spas and parks. A couple of BARFs here and there when you shoot a punk in the stomach, and it'd be all set.
There was a last-gen game I really like called Breakdown. First-Person, all the way through the game. It takes it more in-depth than most, allowing you to grab onto ledges, making you reach out and pick up/open/use things, and some pretty awesome 1st person hand to combat.
Like a lotta people before me, I despise escort missions. I just hope it doesn't become one. I also hope that little yellow meter in the bottom left isn't a Little Sister life bar...
I know he was only in one game, but [MADWORLD SPOILERS BELOW]

The Black Baron (stop starin') should at least have been an honorable mention. I mean, he comes back HOW many times after being killed by his, er, "employee"? Fighting him as the final boss, and Man-Darting him was pretty frikkin' awesome.
