For some reason I get hypnotized by the revolver in the corner of Red Dead constantly reloading and firing. Weird.. never thought about it until now.

Being honest, I don't mind uPlay. In fact, I like it. For one, it stops people that hate trophies and achivements complaining about getting nothing from them.

Completely agree about EA's servers though and it will be interesting to see how they integrate Origin etc.

Even though GTA IV was my favourite game this gen, there was not much to do in free mode online and 'matchmaking' was clunky at best.

Needs to take a leaf out of Red Dead's books.

PS, I've just remembered today I found a set of GTA IV GamesRadar stickers I got in an old PSW magazine on my floor. You guys rock.

Completely agree with the list but was kinda surprised GTA IV's didn't make it. I mean, it's all nice and realistic then suddenly you find yourself doing an insane motorbike jump onto a chopper to chase one of the 2 antagonists. Quite a few in IV and the Episodes to be honest.

I'm guessing you didn't count city-only islands like Liberty City, Empire City and Pacific City :D

Thought San Andreas should've been there though. Purely because of the way you can reach Macros Bistro/Saint Mark's in LC if you fly too far East.

I was coming here thinking that was the GTA one GR were talking about, vigilant. It was a great advert.

And nice one GR :) As a Brit, I never noticed half of these. The British Gas ones also remind me of the LBP art style but LBP came out afterward.

Great article. It's funny how close the industry is. Despite the fact Uncharted: Drake's Fortune "copied" Gears Of Wars cover system, Cliff Belenski said the Gears 2 cover system was "copied" Of Drake's Fortune.

I can see why Insomniac are not on the list as their first ever game (the FPS) was really bad. Naughty Dog however, deserve top spot on that list. Crash Bandicoot, Jak and Uncharted are all AAA franchises with AAA games in them (Well, the first 3 Crash's anyway before ND sold the IP). Nice article nevertheless.

Actually, I'd go as far to saay Manhunt started 3D GTA. The aiming system for SA was the same, and lots of the same models used.

Plus Manhunt 2 was only made so R* could make GTA IV in peace.
