Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands Sarcophagus guide

Above: Locations for all four Sarcophagi on this page, in the Rekem Reservoir, Solomon's Vault and King's Tower areas

Sarcophagus 18

Not far into the Reservoir, you'll be attacked by a mob of enemies and one very big Titan boss. Once you've dispatched them and the vultures have appeared, run toward the back of the room, with the two waterfalls and the shimmering wall. Head for the waterfall on the left.

Once you're close enough, you'll see that there's a little alcove behind the waterfall. Jump over the pit to reach it.

Once you're back there, your old friends the blue flecks will show up to let you know you're on the right track. All you need to do now is roll through that little crawlspace.

Look right once you're through, and you'll find a Sarcophagus there for the taking.

Sarcophagus 19

Continue on through the reservoir to the platform with the lion's head fountain, but don't forge ahead just yet; instead, run to the left side of the platform.

Look down, and you'll see a bunch of loose bricks for you to climb down.

Once you've reached the bottom of the bricks, wall-dash left and you'll catch hold of a little ledge carved into the wall.

Shimmy around to the left...

And you'll find your next Sarcophagus hidden on a ledge underneath where the fountain stands.

Sarcophagus 20

This one's hard to miss, but also hard to reach. See the sealed gate underneath the monstrous statue of Solomon?

There's a Sarcophagus behind there... but how to get it?

Run around to the right side of the room, and you'll see a switch on the wall.

Wall-dash up and press it, and you'll turn on a waterspout. By now you should know what to do with these, so freeze it, swing on it and then immediately let up on the Power of Flow when you jump from it so you can freeze the next one.

Ahead of you will be a wall missing a huge chunk; recall it with the Power of Memory, and you'll have a ledge you can swing to from the frozen spout.

Shimmy across to the right side of the ledge, wall-dash to the switch and jump off toward the (formerly) closed gate

The gate shuts pretty quickly, so roll or jump (both of which are slightly faster than running) over to it before it closes again.

Once you're through, all that's left to do is to smash the Sarcophagus, hit the switch above it and leave.

Sarcophagus 21

The final Sarcophagus is another one that taunts you before you can reach it, hoving into view while you're busy leaping between vultures around the tower where it stands.

Don't try to jump for it just yet; instead, just follow the chain of vultures around the tower and recall this ledge into existence before you fall through it:

From there, jump across the gap to the ledge on the right and jump on that vulture.

Keep following the chain of vultures around the tower...

...and eventually you'll draw close to your goal.

Take a flying leap from the final vulture to the platform, and the final Sarcophagus - and the Got Walkthrough? Achievement/Trophy - is yours.

I think we like a lot of similar games and I considered your opinion often on game purchases and so far I agree with this one aswell. Thanks for your thoughts, I am enjoying this game, especially for $20 new at Target.Nice guide! Well Done, Mikel.

Thanks. Also, do you or anyone else know what the 5G secret achievement is? I can't figure it out.

@Decabo: You can start a new game and it'll count the Sarcophagi you've already found (and the powerups you've already unlocked). They'll still show up to be smashed again, but you only HAVE to smash the ones you missed to get the Achievement/Trophy. That's one of the few good things about the auto-save system; no matter where you are in the game itself, your unlocks are always persistent.

I have a question: Do you have to get all 21 sarcophagi in one playthrough? I've missed one, and I want to know if I could just start a new a game after I beat it and just get that one, or if I should start a new game now.

Wow, nice guide Mr. Reparaz, I dunno if I'll get the game but, thanks for the hard work! The game looks interesting, though, loved your review!
