Pre-order StarCraft II and start playing the beta

Trust us. The StarCraft II multiplayer beta is awesome. But you don’t need to take our word for it anymore. If you pre-order the game from GameStop, you’ll be able to access the multiplayer beta. How long will it take? According to GameStop, you’ll receive an email with a code and instructions on how to join the beta within 1 business day of when your order was placed.

We’re pretty excited about the new Terran campaign that’ll come with StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty. But let’s be honest, StarCraft has always been about its brilliant multiplayer, and from what we’ve seen of the multiplayer beta so far, we have nothing but positive praises for the new units, maps, and’s great matchmaking systems. Plus, this week, Blizzard plans to let beta participants sample the new map editor. So if you’re already a longtime StarCraft fan, like us, and choose to pre-order StarCraft II, you get to play a game you already know you’re going to buy right away. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal to us.
