Pre-E3 blowout day one: Xbox 360

Mass Effect
For years, we've been happily rolling through our RPGs by barging into peoples' houses rummaging through their goods and demanding information from anyone with a mouth, but games like Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire and Elder Scrolls: Oblivion changed that up a bit by adding an ethical component. Now, the creators of KOTOR and Jade Empire are set to stretch their legs with the power the 360 can deliver and we can't wait to see what they've come up with.

We expect nothing less than a futuristic space opera packed with touchy situations and prickly moral dilemmas. Gallivanting around the cosmos, leaving a wake of life-forms either pissed off or pleased (or in some cases, maybe dead) is exactly the experience that has been missing from our favorite new console. Add to that a crew of aliens and elite space rangers that you get to evolve and tweak as you tool around the universe and we call that a little slice of awesomeness pie.

With so few options available for satisfying our hunger for RPGs on the 360, we're ravenous to sink our teeth into Mass Effect.
