Ubisoft has confirmed that Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas, the latest in its tactical squad-based shooter series, will only be coming out for next-gen consoles.
Although unannounced, it was firmly believed that Xbox and PS2 versions would be created just as Ubisoft had done previously with its stablemate first-person shooter, Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter.
While no official explanation has been offered, presumably the reason Ubisoft is giving current-gen consoles the cold shoulder is in response to sales of Advanced Warfighter for PS2 and Xbox, which were significantly lower than sales of the 360 version.
