Who knew speed-typing competitions were so popular in the late 1950s?

Newcomer Régis Roinsard’s breezy period romcom tells the fairytale story of peppy Normandy secretary Rose Pamphyle (Déborah François), who’s intensively trained for the national finals by her insurance-company boss Louis Échard (Romain Duris).

Alas, he’s still pining for his now-married childhood sweetheart Marie ( The Artist’s Bérénice Bejo).

No prizes for guessing who ends up with whom, but the colourful retro designs and the leads’ sparkling chemistry help to Tipp-Ex over some of the predictability.
