I really really REALLY want a Pokemon MOBA. just think about it, Pokemon is the perfect game for a MOBA, 4 abilities levels a reason for the fighting in an arena.

I never once considered this. That sounds SO amazing. Imagine a WII U or 3DS cross-platform Pokémon MOBA.

Personally I'm afraid from all these screens, we might be dealing with what I most hated about the 5th gen. Long boring bridges just to say see look how good the game looks. I got so tired of walking across long bridges that I just stopped enjjoying myself not to mention odd forced percpective I don't really want a game where I'm forced to look side ways at tall grass that takes up half the screen like what happens in one of the girl running shots

I'd love to see some sort of character creation for making your own trainer. It would also be pretty cool to battle other trainers online and see what their own trainers look like! If theres no real character creation, then being able to change and customise your characters clothing would be cool too.

Also, more connection with France/Europe, the dress sense of the female character does seem quite similar to the typical anime perception of stereotypical French fashion. On a wider European scale someone has pointed out this: "Anyone else realised that the legendaries are based off the inhabitants of Ygdrasil from Norse Mythology? An Eagle, a Deer, and a big snakey dragon called Nidhog." - only thing missing is the snake. Third legendary? This things are always in trios.

Suppose it would make sense if Golurk had Eevee on him. The pokemon could show some connection with the whole gene/sciency shtick going on (with it's several evolutions and such).

That statue has an eevee on it. The Golruk is holding it or something

I hate you..Here I thought I was the only one to notice it.

I don't know if anyone has noticed - or published - this observation, but when the male avatar jumps from the platform onto the rope, his sunglasses are left behind. If you pause it at the right moment, you'll see him in mid-air and his sunglasses left at the original platform (also in mid-air). Kind of weird, but hopefully this will be fixed (I don't want to play the game and leave some part of me behind :D).

What they didn't show was the new 6 v 6 battle system making triple battles a thing of the past

We'll see. If the pokemon are notably worse than Gen V, I'll have to pass, but if they're equally terrible, I may be able to get past it for the sake of how awesome the game looks.

agreed,i really hope there are no more ridiculous inanimate object pokemon
  • daniel-willis - January 9, 2013 9:42 p.m.

    yeah like voltorb and magnemite
  • Pollux_of_Gemini - January 9, 2013 9:50 p.m.

I wasn't a fan of Gen V's pokemon, but not because of those based off inanimate objects. And getting on with that, what the hell do you mean? Aren't a couple of well beloved electric-types based of inanimate objects?

I'm no 'genwunner.' I like Gen I the best, but II is good, III might even be better than II, and I can tolerate IV (to an extent). There was just something wrong with V. They just didn't have the flare. Sure, there are pokemon like Diglett and Voltorb, und so weiter, but Gen V was just... they lacked zazz. They just lacked zazz. I want to see the zazz return in Gen VI, but again, we'll have to wait and see.

So Here's something that I noticed. THe character is standing infront of a mirror, probably the first time you see your character and probably because he just got dressed. Notice how the glasses on the hat don't really seem fully integrated into the hats design (a bit unlike previous character design) they look a bit plopped on. also as the article points out, the guy and girl were designed completely different, almost as if they were designed by completely different people. All this to say I think it looks like there is some level of character creation, whether that includes the face and hair I don't know but it looks like you can pick your character's clothing at the very least.
