Can't wait for the game to come out :D

I'm a bit disappointed. I liked the idea Black and White implemented by having no old pokemon until after the game. Don't get me wrong, I like old pokemon, but without them in the mix the focus was on the new gen of pokemon and it actually felt like a new game and forced you to use a new team of pokemon you weren't used to. Mixing old and new pokemon together is too much and feels too cluttered.

It looks like they are heading in the right direction with new pokemon design. While of the starters, only Chespin looks "pokemonish" other pokemon are much more classic than before. Way to redeem themself for AWFUL Diamon/Pearl & Black/White Pokemon design. Too bad I'll never play it since the 3DS costs 400 bucks in Croatia.

I preordered Y, assuming the "X" and "Y" refer to the X and Y chromosomes. I'm happy I did too, 'cause I like the look of Y's legendary more than X's.

There's a rumor (emphasis on the RUMOR) that there's going to be a new type called Fairy and that's what Sylveon is. If anyone cares I could dig up my source on it, it had some other info too.

Nice article. I am definitely excited for this transition to 3D with Gen VI, but I'm smart enough to hold my money until Pokemon "Z" or whatever the third version will be called. It'll give me more time to keep playing Pokemon B&W 2!

You mixed up the order with Gogoat and mount slides. The Mewtwo like Pokemon is actually mewtwo but its a new form called Awakened form in Japan. They have a short video revealing this on the official Pokemon X and Y The one you said was WiFi room is likely a psychic gym or the rumored new type gym. Those statues look like they are from a gym and the guy looks like the guy who typically stands in front of gyms. Also the room transition seemed like a gym rather than when you go into a WiFi room

In slide 21 you spelled "deer" as "dear". Otherwise, thanks for all the information! This is so far the best source I've seen. The covers look so good. I'm going to have such a hard time picking which legendary is for me. Yveltal is so menacing but Xerneas is super graceful. Hrrrrrng.

May have been said before, but it's doubtful that x and y refer to the 3D plane since x and y are typically the names of the first two dimensions, with z being the third. Then again, we all know there will be a Z shaped legendary, so there's that. If all that stuff PokeBeach posted the other day is true, this generation will be awesome.
  • C.King - May 14, 2013 6:50 p.m.

Z... i feel like it's gonna look like a groundon after a slapstick anvil fell on it
  • rainn'sgaydar - May 15, 2013 5:20 a.m.

Maybe it'll just be a zebra... In their defense, the X legendary looks pretty good, and it's an X. It will probably be okay. Actually, it will probably be like an eel or something so it can make the shape of a Z, without always being one. Would make sense for it to be watery or fishy since the Y is bird-like and can fly and X is clearly earthy and grounded. I'm just thinking out loud here...

oh i wasn't saying anything bad about thier designs i was just thinking groundon is sort of close to fitting the slot

You missed something on the statue I sew that the Golurk looks like it's holding an eevee cuz I can see alittle fur and ears look!
  • BurntTheEpic - February 5, 2013 10:27 a.m.

I have this little hope that that scruffy-haired fellow is Bill (why does my favourite character have to be a minor one) I know the chances of that are slim to nothing (considering they're probably just going to introduce another new PC admin) but a girl can dream, can't she? Also, really excited for this game, it's honestly enough to convince me to go and get a 3DS. Thank Arceus they're including Pokemon from previous generations because if this generation is anything like the last one, I probably won't be too fond of the Pokemon. (Although the 5 we know so far seem fine, but then again, so did the last gen's starters)

Is A Samurai A Golurk A Evee And A Palpitoad Statue
  • Milesd1276 - January 28, 2013 4:35 p.m.

Yeah, if you look closer you would notice that there is an eevee in the golurk's arms
  • jacob-ebner-myhers - January 21, 2013 8:59 p.m.

Like i said before they need to make it so you can travel all regions...
  • Erohiel - January 20, 2013 5:10 a.m.

You've clearly missed the fact that, that Golurk statue is also holding an Eevee.
  • Babar Schnutz - January 20, 2013 12:13 a.m.

Nope, #21 is definitely a Gym. There are pedestals with the Pokémon League symbol, which was introduced in Black and White. OF COURSE there's going to be Wi-Fi connectivity, which has been a staple feature since Gen IV, but that building doesn't seem to do anything with it.
  • eevee133 - January 17, 2013 7:27 p.m.

I'm pretty dam Sure in that Statue of Golurk,Palpitoad, and the Trainer that Golurk is holding an Eevee in its left hand. and Xerneas Looks and reminds me of the Forest Creature in "Princess Mononoke" (a popular anime movie)
