We mentioned Tsunbear's distinctive design in Pokemon Monday 22, but it bears repeating – this polar bear has an aggressive crotch. Despite his tough looks though, Tsunbear is in a difficult spot competitively, because his status as a physical attacker severely limits his STAB movepool. Icicle Drop is your best option, with 85 base power, 90% accuracy and a 30% chance of causing your opponent to flinch. Ice Punch isn't all  that bad either, with 75 base power, 100% accuracy and a 10% chance of freezing your opponent, but it's probably not worth the trouble since Tsunbear can only learn it through breeding.

You're better off only picking one STAB attack and then rounding out the rest of Tsunbear's movepool with type-coverage attacks. For EVs, definitely max out his attack with 252 attack EVs, and then the rest is up to you. You could also beef up his HP, or try to make up for his low speed stat, or a combination of both.

The ice type is not my favorite but they're cool looking. But an ice cream? I don't know why but I kinda saw that coming

Is that a straw sticking out of his head?

Idk now if I want the ice types of the gen5 bc stat wise they are good but looks are kinda ify I like the ice cream cone bc a name popped into my mind when I saw it (Banilla Ice) lol. But when I saw an ice dragon I was so happy but it looks terrible from what I was hoping it would look like.

I want to give that baby bear a nice warm cuddle. But an Ice cream cone? Really?

Pokemon Team Staff Meeting: "I know lets put a face on an icecream cone and call it a pokemon. There, I am done for the week." "Excuse me, sir, you still have to make one more pokemon to meet your quota." "Urgh... a bear... with an ice beard. Can I go now?" There is no inspiration in either of these. The bear is alright, but a damn icecream cone? Really?

REALLY, an ice cream cone?? They aren't even using animals for inspiration anymore...now they are using food. Great. Sophisticated food fights. >> lol. I love you pokemon, but come on. Well, at least the bear looks pretty badass.

    @Crabhand F&%K YEAH
  • hardcore_gamer1990 - January 9, 2011 1:29 a.m.

@enviremental - Considering that Glalie looks like it's the key part of Jason Voorhees' costume, Furiijio has gotta be pretty damn badass.

I'm going to EV train a baibanira and use it in tourneys and to embarrass my friends.
  • SirGoldenSquareTheEleventyFirst - January 8, 2011 10:30 p.m.

LoL i messed that up but i think you know what i mean
  • SirGoldenSquareTheEleventyFirst - January 8, 2011 10:27 p.m.

I thin k you meant dismal dismal defense stat.
  • Daver123 - January 8, 2011 9:56 p.m.

The Baibanira family should have a special weakness to Lickitung and Lickilicky.
  • enviremental - January 8, 2011 8:44 p.m.

Furiijio kinda looks like Glalie's evil sibling.
  • Robusken - January 8, 2011 7:21 p.m.

I hate to harp on Furiijio...but man his look just really puts me off for some reason. Crotch aggressive bear always makes me laugh. Specially with that weird ice beard thing he has going on.
  • Crabhand - January 8, 2011 6:47 p.m.

Blargh... don't much like the ice types this generation. Agressive Crotch is pretty good... but I don't much like the Baibanira line and Furiijio looks like it eats babies for pleasure. I do, however, look forward to the ice dragon. Hyorinmaru, anybody?
  • AwesomeGuitarSoloMan - January 8, 2011 6:25 p.m.

Ice cream thing should include a cherry
  • Ohwll - January 8, 2011 6:06 p.m.

Cant wait to fight a snowflake with ice cream! Its going to be pretty epic! Also First maybe.
