Pokemon Black and White Pokedex - Tepig, Pignite, Emboar

Emboar
#006 Unova / #500 National
Type:
Fire/Fighting
Classification: Mega Fire Pig Pokemon
Abilities: Blaze – increases power of Fire-type moves by 1.5 if Pokemon has less than 1/3 HP remaining
Dream World abilities: Reckless – increases power of moves with recoil damage
Location Found: Evolve from Pignite
Egg groups: Ground
Gender ratio: Male 87.5% / Female 12.5%
Experience at lvl 100: 1,059,860
Base stats: 110 HP / 123 Atk / 65 Def / 100 SAtk / 65 SDef / 65 Spd / 528 Total
Effort values: 3 Attack
Evolution: Tepig > Pignite at level 17 > Emboar at level 36

Emboar's offensive strength is firmly on the side of physical attack, although his special attack stat is nothing to sneeze at either. For EV training, you could max out Emboar's already impressive attack stat, and then maybe try to make up for what he lacks in defense, both physical and special.

Emboar is the best looking final evolution of this gen. A huge flaming bipedal boar, sure beats the pants off a metrosexual looking snake and a derpy sea lion.

Eric's right. A crazy boar thing would have been great. I've actually been having a very easy time with Tepig as my starter. I've been destroying.

Hmm...Although I enjoy the final form, I'm not exactly sure on which starter I will pick this gen. I don't like any of their intermediate or starting forms, but they all have boss final forms. I suppose that I will stick with the pattern that I started with Ruby/Sapphire and go with the Grass starter.

I have a fondness for pig pokemon, so this will be my first non-grass starter, but I have to say I'm not really fond of his final form. I wanted a wicked-massive razorback boar with massive tusks and flames everywhere, not a fat guy with a pig nose.

Due to this being the lack of originality in its typing, this will be the first gen I dont pick the fire pokemon

I never go fire starters but Tepig is the most adorable of them and grows up so beefy looking. SO BEEFY LOOKING. I don't even care that it looks like Magmortar, it's the best looking of them all.

She is going to be my first fire starter ever. I usually just pick the waters, but it kinda looks weird this time around....

I sorta like Tepig's final form. I really like big, tough looking pokemon, and he seems to fit the bill better than the other starters.
