Zeno Clash Set to Arrive at UK Retail this Friday (News)

Premier videogame publisher Iceberg Interactive and developer ACE TEAM have announced that the retail version of their critically acclaimed PC Action/Fighting game Zeno Clash, has now shipped to UK retail and will be available on shelves on 9th October 2009.

Previously available only through digital download on Steam with an Xbox Live Arcade version also in the works, Zeno Clash will be made available as a boxed retail game to stores in the US and Canada "soon" going by Tripwire's release.

While the release did not mention a shipping date, New Egg has already listed the retail version, pricing it at $19.99 and dating it for October 28.

Premier videogame publisher Iceberg Interactive has announced that the retail version of the critically acclaimed PC Fighting game Zeno Clash has gone gold. The retail version will ship with the Zeno Clash comic plus all available updates for the game and will be released in the UK, Scandinavia and the Benelux in October 2009 with other European territories to follow soon after.

Fast expanding videogame publisher Iceberg Interactive has eagerly announced the UK fourth quarter release dates for six of their upcoming PC games. Autumn and winter, when people stay in and hide under a blanket with their PC, is adventure season at Iceberg Interactive, as it will release a raft of much anticipated adventure games.

Up-and-coming videogame publisher Iceberg Interactive today announced that it has acquired the European publishing rights to the PC Action/Fighting game Zeno Clash, from the Chile-based videogame developer ACE Team. Scheduled for retail release throughout Europe in Q4-2009, Zeno Clash is a unique Fighting game mixed with First-Person Shooter (FPS) elements.

Developer Ace Team has released the SDK for its Source engine-based action title Zeno Clash, allowing users to create their own levels and mods for the game.

On an exclusive interview by TAKEitGAME, Ace Team's Carlos Bordeu revealed new details about the company's new title, Zeno Clash 2.

"We don't want it to be linear... but how open we will make it is yet to be decided. We're not a big studio and sandbox games are usually made by very big developers, so we have to see what we can realistically do with the team we have. Whatever the result is, we'll certainly make something much larger and open than Zeno Clash 1, which is basically a fighting game."

"Zeno Clash will always conserve its fighting game aspects. We will
not only expand the combat mechanics, but also improve on the existing
one. More than converting the game into a new genre, we plan on adding
elements that enrich the game's experience."

Zeno Clash 2 is still on the pre-production phase, but you can pick up the first one on Steam.

ACE Team has released new content for their action brawler Zeno Clash, available now on Steam. Dubbed 'The Pit', the free add-on brings three new extensions to the game's challenge towers, providing new acheievements as well.

To celebrate, the full title has been slashed in half and runs only $10 now through the weekend.

Zeno Clash is honestly imaginative, a fact wonderfully symbolized by a screenshot of an anthropomorphic rat woman with four barely-obscured breasts. In context it’s not funny or bawdy, but befitting of a fantastic, original and artful world. Characters range from bizarre pig men and parrot people to the disturbing Father-Mother, a gangling 12ft tall bird/human with babies in his/her jacket. ...
