The most succesful online game to date has been censored on european servers, due to the possibility to do drunk hunting. At the moment, the brewfest takes place in azeroth and two of the brewfest quests can only be done while drunk. These quests, where mythical creatures are hunted aren't available in the european version, due to "regional game rating requirements".

The official website for World of Warcraft: Cataclysm received an update today. They've added a page describing the Abyssal Maw, which appears to be a new raid dungeon.
UK TV program, The Gadget Show, has nominated World of Warcraft for 'Gadget of the Decade'.

PC Games Hardware compares the visual quality of Aion: The Tower of Eternity and World of Warcraft on six detail shots. Apparently the Cryengine 1 of Aion can beat the graphics of WoW. They also mention that Blizzard will introduce a graphics update with WoW: Cataclysm.
Upper Deck has posted on their site that they have canceled the upcoming Darkmoon Faire event in France for the TCG. They've been having events all over the world of this kind, featuring tournaments, exhibitions, and interaction with the game's officials and designers (I checked out one such event when it was in Chicago last year). And while they had planned to hold a Faire in Paris in 2009, apparently it's not going to happen -- they say there was "complications" with the "venue," and the event has been shut down.
Ben Alexander spent nearly every waking minute playing the video game "World of Warcraft." As a result, he dropped out of the University of Iowa. It may still be a while before World of Warcraft is back on live realms again in China, according to a recent report from the country.
Work on getting Blizzard's market-leading MMO, World of Warcraft, back online in China following its operator transition from The9 to NetEase is progressing well, according to Blizzard's head of International Operations, Michael Ryder.
Blizzard has issued a new patch for World of Warcraft, bringing this popular MMORPG to v3.2.0a. This update includes some performance improvements and bugfixes.
