With the NDA lifted from the WoW beta, lots of cool things are starting to surface for those of us not lucky enough to get a beta invite yet. One user posted three different videos of the Death Knight talent builds, and how they look in action. The class looks pretty fun to play, and in its current form, some are even suggesting it might be a bit overpowered.

That's what one mid-Michigan WoW player tried to do, posting an offer online to sell two level 70 characters and a level 40 character for the ridiculous price of $500.
Blizzard have just announced they are adding a brand new feature for World of Warcraft: Achievements! This is something we've seen in other games, and perhaps Blizzard have borrowed from that a little, but no doubt, this will be hugely popular with the 10 million+ players of the world's biggest MMORPG. Achievements will go live in the highly anticipated upcoming expansion, Wrath of the Lich King. See full details of the new Achievement system below.

Until now, we didn't know what the mini pet would be; unlike the token given away at BlizzCon last year, which clearly indicated the redeemer would receive a Murloc Costume, this one was a mystery. Blizzard Community Manager, Bornakk, has just announced what the mystery pet is, and I bet all Hell is going to break loose when the demand for these cards goes through the roof...

An Australian man was arrested recently after he convinced a 15-year-old girl he met while playing World of WarCraft to run away from home to be with him. He even paid for the trip. How sweet. The 31-year-old Anthony Taylor formed a relationship with the less-than-half-his-age girl, which eventually led to sexual messages and phone calls. The girl's father found out about the relationship and threatened to kill Anthony, so Anthony did what any self-respecting pedophile would do - he sent her a plane ticket and some money to cover the cab fare.

You're going to want to head to WoW Insider for the full monty, but here are a few highlights: * Fury Warriors will be dual-weilding 2H weapons. * Rogues will get a new AoE. * Priests will get a new crowd control spell. * Shaman totems will now affect an entire raid. * Hunters (as if they weren't cool enough) are going to see pets having talent trees of their own. A complete revamp of the pet system.

Among the many changes the upcoming World of WarCraft patch 2.4.3 will bring, the most significant is probably the ability to get a mount at level 30. Paladins and Warlocks will get their first summon at this level, while other classes can purchase Apprentice level riding for a mere 35 gold. This will make leveling up an alt slightly more bearable, and hopefully you all read this prior to dinging 40 and plunking down too much cash for your soon-to-be-overpriced level 40 mount. Read on for the full Test Realm patch notes, including ridable dragonhawks and a huge nerf to twinks.

The latest Public Test Realm was opened yesterday for people try out upcoming changes in World of Warcraft. However, upon viewing the patch notes, most WoW payers probably jumped out of their seats. Blizzard have managed to keep these secrets under wraps, but it was revealed yesterday that after patch 2.4.3 goes live, probably within a month or so, players will now be able to purchase and ride a mount at level 30. This is huge news for people with low leveled characters; since the game launched over three years ago, characters have had to get around on foot until level 40. Time management utilities have been added; players can now set an in-game alarm clock, and also make use of a stopwatch. For the first time, there will also be an option to display the local time ingame, as opposed to the server time. Many class changes have also taken place, including a much-needed nerf to the Rogue ability Cheat Death. Here are the full patch notes:

Eric Brighteyes of Diabloii.net alerted all Blizzard fans that Xfire have posted details of their coverage of the upcoming WWI event to be held in Paris later this month. Not that startling in itself but they do mention: Get behind the scenes with Xfire during WWI to: Follow the opening ceremony and discover what NEW game will be announced in our chat rooms together with hundreds of other Blizzard fans Slip of the tongue, accidentally or accidentally on purpose or hype generator? You decide.

World of Warcraft machinima creator Selserene has released her new movie, highly anticipated In For A Penny: Part One On All Eight. This is the follow-on to the acclaimed trailer In For A Penny: Prologue. The movie itself is a story, a film noir with stunning visuals, a strong storyline and dialogue instead of flashy action with a thumping soundtrack like so many WoW machinima these days. So are we seeing a new trend in machinima? Will this become the new anime?
