PC - World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade - WoW's US April Fool Feature: Dance Battle System We saw the EU team's World of Warcraft efforts earlier with the P1mp My Mount feature, now their US counterparts have revealed their annual joke.

Last year came the Bard, a new class that had a user interface similar to Guitar Hero, where players could attack others using "awesome chords" and such. This year, we have the Dance Battle system headed up by bad guy Kael'thas Sunstrider. Your "crew" will be able to have a dance-off against other crews, overseen by NPC dancemasters. A custom interface similar to the vehicle control provides players with a means to make the slickest moves to impress the judges.

PC - World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade - Arena Season 5 to end as soon as April 14 Bornakk posted a tentative date for the announced end of Arena Season 5, indicating that the season can end "as early as April 14" or a week after. It should be noted that the first four Arena seasons had no breaks in between, with one season beginning immediately after the last ended. Arena seasons were only suspended upon the release of Patch 3.0 leading up to Wrath of the Lich King, with the first season of Level 80 Arena play beginning on December 16. This time around, however, Bornakk makes it clear that the next Arena season will not begin immediately but have at least a one week break before Season 6 begins.

PC - World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade - WoW: No Aerial Combat For Now World of Warcraft's Game Director Tom Chilton has spoken about the lack of aerial combat in WoW, but says it's something Blizzard would like to add to the game.

The PvP zone in Northrend, Wintergrasp, which was added in Wrath of the Lich King, originally had planes in the beta that players could take command of to bomb the opposition below. There were also anti-aircraft vehicles in the zone, however, both features were removed before the expansion went live.

PC - World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade - The WoW Headhunter helps with guild recruiting Last week Wowinsider was kindly invited on the PixelatedGeek podcast and while there, heard from Darren of WoW Headhunter, a brand new site that wants to get you or your guild hooked up with some new guildies. The site is pretty barebones: you can look through available guilds or enter your own. But they do add a little something new: whenever you enter a guild into the site, you can create application questions and even run through a survey that charts your guild along four lines: between Reckless and Deliberate, Social and Competitive, Fun and Serious, and Learner and Veteran. So you can choose between the Reckless Competitive Veterans and the Deliberate Social Learners.

PC - World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade - China Imposing New Game Restrictions Soon China's General Administration of Press and Publication (GAPP) is gearing up to implement stricter gaming restrictions, shutting down games that do not meet the new regulations.

The GAPP will close down games that do not operate the fatigue system, which rewards players with less experience points in games depending on the amount of time they have been online. World of Warcraft already has the system in place.

The regulatory body will reportedly also not allow new games to be released in China unless they have the system in place.

Kidrin claims that his company, Worlds.com, owns the patent to create virtual worlds, dating back to the 90s. He claims his company came by the patents via Starbright World, part of the Starlight Starbright Foundation.
