King Varian Wrynn and Thrall are interrupted by the Orcish assassin Garona. Assuming Thrall sent Garona to kill him, Wrynn attacks the female Orc who also killed his father. However, it appears she did not come alone - a host of enemies attack the group, which includes Wrynn's son Anduin and his sidekicks Valeera and Rehgar. As Thrall faces a large number of foes, Jaina Proudmoore teleports into the fight to aid her friend.

PC - World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade - The9 Loses WoW To NetEase? According to rumours, a leaked letter from the president of The9, Xiaowei Chen, to The9 employees apparently states that an unnamed domestic operator, who is already running a joint venture with Blizzard, has requested through Blizzard that The9 transfer WoW servers and hardware over to them at a reduced price of $22 million USD, for which The9 paid $73 million USD. An extra $1 million USD will be paid for the transfer of staff who work on WoW.

Rumours over who the unnamed company is all point to one place; NetEase. NetEase already works with Blizzard, last August it was announced that the company was to take over the operation of other Blizzard games in China including Warcraft III and Starcraft II.

PC - World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade - WoW: Secrets Of Ulduar Cinematic Released To coincide with World of Warcraft's Patch 3.1, Blizzard has released a new cinematic trailer, showing players what to expect in the new Ulduar raid and updating them on the stroyline.

Anyone who has played Wrath of the lich King will recognise the characters in this latest movie from Blizzard. Prospector Brann Bronzebeard, Thrall, Jaina Proudmore, Varian Wrynn and Rhonin all make an appearance, along with several bosses from the new raid, Ulduar. The last movie from Blizzard, the Wrathgate cinematic, was a huge hit with players and Blizzard has used same methods to make this latest offering, taking game models and animating them instead of using in-game actions.

PC - World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade - WoW: Patch 3.1 Today The testing is finally over; Blizzard has announced that World of Warcraft's patch 3.1 is going live today.

Patch 3.1 introduces many new features to WoW; Dual talent specs, which allow players to swap between two different roles. Many new UI improvements are being introduced, including a re-vamped 'Looking For Group' system. Players can also take part in the Argent Tournament, a new jousting contest with rich rewards, a new system which Blizzard promises will bring more to the game at a later date.

PC - World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade - PETA: WoW 'Seal Hunt' Clarification A spokesman for PETA has contacted IncGamers regarding the upcoming World of Warcraft "seal hunt" campaign, to clarify the goals and motivation behind the event.

PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has organised an in-game gathering where WoW players may join with PETA members to defeat a team of four baby seal killers. Misleading rumours of an in-game protest or demonstration has been spread on the internet, but PETA spokesman, Dan Shannon, got in touch with them to clear this up and explain what the organisation hopes to gain from the activity.

It's unlikely these games they will rival anything The9 already operate for other developers such as World of Warcraft, but will companies like Blizzard think twice before renewing their contracts with The9 due to a possible conflict of interest?

PC - World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade - WoW's US April Fool Feature: Dance Battle System We saw the EU team's World of Warcraft efforts earlier with the P1mp My Mount feature, now their US counterparts have revealed their annual joke.

Last year came the Bard, a new class that had a user interface similar to Guitar Hero, where players could attack others using "awesome chords" and such. This year, we have the Dance Battle system headed up by bad guy Kael'thas Sunstrider. Your "crew" will be able to have a dance-off against other crews, overseen by NPC dancemasters. A custom interface similar to the vehicle control provides players with a means to make the slickest moves to impress the judges.
