PC - World in Conflict: Soviet Assault - World in Conflict 1.01 Patch Release Today (Tuesday 10th March) Massgate have released the latest patch for World in Conflict. This tenth update for World in Conflict makes the original version compatible for multiplayer games with the upcoming March release of World in Conflict Complete and Soviet Assault. It also includes several new features and bug fixes. The missing maps issue preventing players from joining certain servers has been addressed, a new difficulty level has been added for bots, helicopters can now fire at targets directly beneath them, single-player missions have been balanced and tweaked in several ways, admin spectators can now chat to both teams and much more.

PC - World in Conflict: Soviet Assault - Ubi: No plans for World in Conflict on consoles Videogamer writes: "This morning Ubisoft has revealed to VideoGamer.com that for the moment World in Conflict and its expansion are for "PC only". Earlier today the publisher announced that World in Conflict: Soviet Assault, the expansion to the popular PC RTS World in Conflict, will be arriving for PC in March. The digital download expansion will arrive alongside a retail game, World in Conflict: Complete Edition, which will include the original game and expansion.

"For the moment we are releasing Soviet Assault on PC only and have no plans at this time to release it or the Complete Edition on consoles," said the Ubisoft spokesperson."

PC - World in Conflict: Soviet Assault - PC Soviet Assault set for March When the merged Activision-Vivendi dropped a host of games from its roster last year, it left developers and franchises alike in limbo. Among the more notable of these were Massive Entertainment and the multiplatform Soviet Assault expansion to its freshly established real-time strategy series World in Conflict.

Ubisoft acquired Massive in November, picking up the World in Conflict brand in the process. However, the publisher did not address release plans for Soviet Assault until today.

Ubisoft has announced that World in Conflict: Soviet Assault will arrive on the PC in March. Gamers will be able to pick it up at retailers as part of the World in Conflict: Complete Edition bundle, while those who already own the original game will be able to purchase the expansion online.

This confirms speculation that Activision would drop several of its Vivendi Games franchises after the two companies merged on July 9.

PC - World in Conflict: Soviet Assault - DirectX 10 graphics possible on consoles, WiC dev says DirectX 10 graphical effects are possible on the consoles, given enough time and resources, the developer of the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of PC RTS World In Conflict has said.

Speaking in an interview with VideoGamer.com, Petter Sydow, VP of Development at Swedish developer Massive Entertainment, revealed that the team has managed to replicate "some" of the DirectX 10 effects seen in the PC version, but doesn't know what features will make it into the final release.

Sydow said: "At this point we've managed to replicate some of the effects, but I don't know what features will make it into the final release. Nearly all of our DX 10 features are possible to do on the consoles if you give it enough time and resources, so we'll keep on working on them and see what happens."

PC - World in Conflict: Soviet Assault - Sierra Spring Break 08: Two new World in Conflict maps in console versions - PC users have to pay Speaking to videogaming247 at the Sierra Spring Break 08 in Mallorca last week, Massive Entertainment's Petter Sydow said that two new levels for the nuke-happy RTS ¿ telling the story from a Russian point of view ¿ would appear in the console versions and that PC gamers would be getting them also: for a small fee.
