HardGame2.com writes: "John Carmack, the leader of id Software, has commented the status of various Linux ports of games that they have in development. First, Wolfenstein won't have a Linux version, because it is being developed by Raven Software (id only supervise) and published by Activision.
Raven and id Software's Wolfenstein won't be opening a portal to retail the first week of August, as previously planned. The latest game to be hit by a summer delay will now ship a few weeks later, Activision confirmed today.
The official system requirements for Wolfenstein have been revealed on the community forums, suggesting 1GB of ram, a 256MB graphics card and 3.2 GHz processor.
Gameplay – First of all the controls felt very solid and accessible. Going through the game was very intense and satisfying because of the new features Wolfenstein has added which is the VALE. Now the Vale adds so much to the gameplay because it enhances your strategy against the enemies and also evading situations.

I read a few blurbs on Internet Web sites, tried to get through a preview or two, and clicked a few random links on Wikipedia. Today, Activision released a press release that told of the games that Activision will be showing off during E3 2009, while quickly adding the date that Wolfenstein will be coming out.

id Software and Activision continue to add to the comeback of Wolfenstein. This time they have added hollywood composer Bill Brown to the mix. Brown produced the score for Return to Castle Wolfenstein and will do the same for the upcoming Wolfenstein due out later this year.

Raven Software has announced that a new trailer for their next-gen Wolfenstein game will be aired on GameTrailers TV tomorrow. It's the first trailer to be released for the game since last summer's QuakeCon.

A public Photobucket gallery containing alleged images from Raven Entertainment's upcoming Wolfenstein has emerged thanks to an unnamed "industry source," reports Shacknews.
