WorthPlaying writes : Nvidia has released new graphics drivers that will allow owners of most GeForce 8, GeForce 9, and GeForce GTX 200-series cards to automatically use PhysX acceleration. Along with the drivers will come a PhysX software pack containing free UT 3 maps, the full version of NetDevil's Warmonger, a couple of Nvidia demos, and sneak peeks at Object Software's Metal Knight Zero and Nurien Software's Nurien social-networking service.

Auto Assault developer NetDevil has released the Unreal Engine 3-powered first-person shooter Warmonger, Operation: Downtown Destruction for FREE.

Now available at FileShack is Warmonger - Operation: Downtown Destruction, the free Unreal Engine 3 powered multiplayer shooter from Auto Assault developer NetDevil. The 437 MB download includes six levels featuring a wide array of destructable objects and buildings. An AGEIA PhysX accelerator is required to get the most out of this game, however it will run without one. Download mirrors are listed below at the Alternative Sources.

Kotaku's Brian Crecente got a chance to play Warmonger, Operation: Downtown Destruction back in June at NetDevil's anniversary party, and they pretty much had to pry him away from the computer. PC gamers will soon get a chance to see if they experience similar ass-stickiness as NetDevil announces plans to release the game via digital download on October 16th for the low, low price of completely free.
