PC - Unreal Tournament 2004 - Legendary Pictures Negotiating Epic Games Purchase

Legendary Pictures, the film production company that is currently co-financing the Gears of War film adaption, is currently in talks to buy Gears developer Epic Games, according to Variety.

The report has apparently been corroborated by multiple sources, though neither company involved has issued any official statements.
Variety notes that if the deal closes, Legendary will become the first film financier to invest directly in a game developer.

Friday 16 June 2006 Midway has announced the release of Unreal Anthology, a four-strong collection of Unreal titles that have appeared on PC over the years, due for a US release this autumn Consisting of the original Unreal (plus Return to Na Pali expansion), Unreal II, Unreal Tournament (Game of the Year Edition) and Unreal Tournament 2004 (Editors Choice Edition), it will be priced $30 (£16).
