Tycoon City New York

So nice they named it once

The ability to drop seamlessly from a sun-gilded skyscraper-sentinelled skyline to a pedestrian-eye's view of the bustling taxi-clogged street hundreds of feet below is wonderful (SimCity 4 suddenly seems very dry). Add a soundtrack rich with car-horn-and-engine cacophony, and you have everything you need to be instantly transported to Manhattan.

We'd be fibbing if we said we didn't enjoy our stay in TCNY, but we'd be negligent if we didn't point out that after a few days we were more than ready to come home.

You'll love
  • Its simplicity
  • Exploring the Big Apple
  • Its muggers
You'll hate
  • The lack of grit and detail
  • You can't manage your businesses
  • No Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man
