Why do those Turok screens look so '99?

Graphics aren't everything, and it's just as well because these eight new screens show what an ugly face the new Turok game has.

It's not a bad game - we posted some videos of it last week and it's a fairly average shooter, but we'd expect more juice out of the graphics processors of today.

Bland textures, blocky, unimpressive explosions, polygonal buildings and blood effects on the dinosaurs that look more like they've been rolling around in red paint, can all be seen in these shots.

The format is unclear, but given their original size (huge) we're guessing they're from the PC version. Take a look for yourselves.
