Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Character and Map Pack Plus Now Available in Europe (News)

The battle for earth rages on as Activision Publishing, Inc. has announced today that the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Character and Map Pack Plus is available now for download on Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 throughout Europe. The massive Downloadable Content (DLC) pack will include eleven playable characters, three all-new maps for online multi-player game modes, and a brand new "Expert" difficulty setting for the single-player campaigns.

This mid-year update allows Plastic Wax to reveal 2009 collaborations that had been kept under wraps for months: the opening cinematic and unlockable cinematic for Activision's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen game, two different thirty-second television spots that mix live action and CG (which involved animating the classic Slimer character) for Atari's Ghostbusters, and the E3 2009 CG trailer to launch the new Relic/THQ title Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. Plastic Wax also has a number of unannounced videogame projects in the works, as well as a feature length film.

The Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen game is now available, in time for tomorrow's movie release. There are plenty of different versions of the game available, created by 5 different game developers. The Nintendo DS also features 2 different versions: Autobots and Decepticons. Activision has assembled an all-star cast for the upcoming Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen videogame, including the film's leads Shia LeBeouf and Megan Fox, who will reprise their starring roles in the game, and fan favourites Peter Cullen and Frank Welker, the voices of Optimus Prime and Megatron from the original animated series. In the new game, developed under license from Hasbro, players are thrust into an adrenaline-pumping battle to defend Earth from a Decepticon attack that threatens mankind.

The Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen videogame is currently in development by Luxoflux for the Xbox360 and the PLAYSTATION3, and for Windows PC by Beenox Studios. Also, award-winning Krome Studios is developing distinct Wii and PlayStation2 versions, utilizing the individual platform features to deliver an intense third-person Action-Adventure game that combines dynamic robot combat with arcade-style vehicle sequences and flight-based levels. In addition, two completely different titles are being developed for NintendoDS by Vicarious Visions, allowing players to take on Autobot or Decepticon-specific campaigns. For the PlayStation Portable system, a unique, fast-paced action arcade title is being developed by Savage Entertainment.
