Tortuga: Two Treasures

Tortuga: Two Treasures - hands-on

Join us in a day in the life of Thomas "Hawk" Blythe

With the excellent remake of Sid Meier's Pirates! and the dreadfully awful Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest representing the addictive highs and depressing lows of recently released pirate-themed games, we're left wondering how Tortuga: Two Treasures will fare when it sets sail for shelves later this year.

Above: Ladies usually hate it when you sneak into their room while they're sleeping. But if you're dressed like a pirate they'll find you irresistible

On one hand, it's a budget title that will retail for $20, so it won't cost you an arm and a peg-leg. On the other hand, the simplistic hack-and-slash sword battles, and dated graphics leave much to be desired. Still, with its promising plot, excellent voice acting, and satisfying ship battles - we're looking forward to seeing the final version so we can find how Blythe gets the booty whether or not he gets the babes as well.
