via XBF: We have frowny face news, kids. Tom Clancy's HAWX has just been grounded, oxygen tanks have been removed from the flight cabins and pilots have been told to go home ... until 2009. Ubisoft just confirmed that their flight combat game HAWX will not make its September release as planned, experiencing a delayed release sometime between January and March of 2009. That also means no airborne pew, pew, pewing until 2009 ... shucks.

Ace Combat 6 flight stick to be fully compatible with newest combat flight sim by Ubisoft.

You may recall that back in September 2007 it was reported that Tom Clancy's Air Combat existed, a flight combat sim game from Ubisoft.

Well, that game's now be renamed and re-revealed as Tom Clancy's HAWX, which is heading to PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in the autumn.

HAWX is a flight combat game set in 2012, spinning the familiar near-future yarn that world powers have become increasingly reliant on private military corporations
