The Spiderwick Chronicles announced

Details are thin, but Sierra announced today that it will bring The Spiderwick Chronicles to a slew of platforms, including the Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStation2, Nintendo DS, and PC. Notice that the PS3 is conspicuously absent, although we don't know why.

Slated for release in February 2008, The Spiderwick Chronicles is based upon the upcoming movie, which is in turn based on a best-selling book series by Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi. The story revolves around three children - Jared, Simon and Mallory Grace, who seem to live in the normal world, but discover some hidden world populated with "sprites, ogres, goblins, brownies and more."

So far the only mention of gameplay notes that you'll be able to choose from more than one playable character, and each is supposed to have unique abilities. You can learn more at the official website and peep some screenshots here.
