The Sims 2 Seasons

Also known as: The Sims 2: Seasons [US]

Sims 2 expansion announced

It's cold outside, so stay in and let your Sim do the freezing

Have you been wanting to play The Sims 2 but didn’t want to miss out on the fun and family bonding of the holidays? The exciting new romantic possibilities of the spring? The seasonal sunburns of summer? Or, the things that happen during the other season?

If the answer is yes - and we think it is - we have good news for you.  The next expansion pack for The Sims 2, The Sims 2 Seasons, has been announced.

Rather than being a slave to the “natural” seasonal cycle, you can experience seasonal activities at any time of the year through your Sims. The expansion will offer activities such as creating and nourishing a garden, building snowmen, playing in the pool, going ice-skating and playing catch. The seasonal cycle will affect your Sims mood, relationships, fears, and needs.

While playing the game we suggest you try to look sharp because your friends will probably be popping in to see you and get their chance to play. Of course, your Sims will have to be more practical with their clothing selection, or else they’ll face the dire consequences of wearing inappropriate seasonal clothing when they go outside.

The pack even adds a few additions that have nothing to do with the weather. There will be six new careers available and a collection of new items to play with. Remember, the next time you try to go outside and do something, ask yourself if you couldn't just have a Sim do it better.

The Sims 2 Seasons is expected to be released March 2, 2007.
