Funcom have revealed a rather eerie looking location for their upcoming Myths and Legends MMORPG, The Secret World, known only as Blue Mountain.

Blue Mountain will be one of the first areas of the game that players will be able to get a good chance to deal a critical blow against the coming darkness.
Last week was, for Funcom and fans, the week of the Illuminati. The Illuminati are the third and final faction from the upcoming MMORPG, The Secret World, to be detailed in a specific Q&A session by Lead Content Designer, Joel Bylos.
The Secret World brings another peek into the elusive society through an exclusive interview on IGN with Lead Content Designer Joel Bylos. Some quotes from the interview

In Funcom's The Secret World MMO there are no player levels, or even character classes. It's all about progression; a "sense of development" without numbers 'above our heads.'
To remind gamers that The Secret World's release is only a few months away, Funcom has announced that this week they'll reveal more about one of the MMO's three different factions; the Templars.

In the biggest public-awareness campaign for any secret society in recent memory, the website's Week of the Templars is here to make sure you know the London-based zealots back to front, starting with some new screens...
Here's a batch of fresh screenshots for next year's PC MMO The Secret World. If the first batch of screens were unified by one thing, it was their intense combat focus – whereas the dominant theme of these pics seems to be “brooding conspiracists giving the viewer their best tough-guy grimace.” Stare down the extremist Templars, amoral Illuminati and chaotic-neutral Dragon in a few of the game's hidden-in-plain-sight locales below...
Massively multiplayer online games have changed since they first crawled out of the primordial soup, but they've still remained unevolved in many ways. Combat, level progression, and player-versus-player elements have grown, but not in huge ways, and that's something The Secret World is looking to change. In this developer diary the creators not only explain their game's interesting lore, but show how, where, and why the PvP takes place, giving us a taste of what we can expect when the game releases next year (hopefully).
