The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Welcome to the first day of the rest of your role-playing life

With so much to do, it's a wonder how you can keep track of it all without going insane. Oblivion 's streamlined interface builds critical info into your cursor and manages your inventory and quest log with easy-to-navigate Web-browser-like tabbed pages. A "fast-travel" option saves you many hours of trekking; just select any previously-visited location from your in-game map and zip instantly to it.

Fortunately, Oblivion is just as easy to actually play. You can use the Xbox 360 controller on PC if you like, but most players will prefer the classic mouse-and-keyboard combo for precise aiming at targets. Plus, this doesn't even touch on the enjoyable mini-games, including lock-picking, stealth action and persuasion. They don't feel like filler.

fallout was great, but oblivion is AMAZING!
fallout was 1/4 the size map and had 1/100 the amount of quests, dungeons, and the things that make oblivion wat it is

I've had this game since I was 11. It is the most important game on the PC. My real hardcore gaming started with this game. Everyone needs to play it. I have completed this game (that means all of the quests) 7 times and i still dont get bored.
