Team Fortress 2 update "just after" April 15

Developer narrows down the release date

Valve's major update to Team Fortress 2 on PC looks set to hit in the latter half of next month.

"[We] don't have an exact date yet, but should be just after American tax day (April 15)", the developer's Doug Lombardi told CVG.

It's narrowed down - slightly - the 'April' date for the update that we reported on yesterday.

Valve's update marks the debut of unlockable weapons for TF2's classes, with the Medic the first to receive the feature. It will additionally include new map Goldrush which introduces a new game mode.

This will surely be released for TF2 on PS3 and Xbox 360 too, although we've not had any official word on this from the developer as yet.
