Valve is cooking up big things for Team
Fortress 2 and, miraculously, its plans have nothing to do with goofy
hats. At least, they don't specifically mention new hats. Oh, who
are we kidding? Of course there will be hats...
Valve is working on a new project for TF2 for this year. Wonder what it could be.

What’s a “dynamic payload element?” Good question...
When Saints Row the Third was still in pre-order status, you got some neat things for Team Fortress 2. This is a pretty standard operating procedure for major releases to give out some neat items for the crazy first person shooter. Volition and Valve are taking things a step further however. Most games, when they come out, have nothing further to do with TF2. Luckily for Steam purchasers of Saints Row 3, the Saints Row games are not like most others.

Volition has announced the arrival of
free Team Fortress 2 masks to Saints Row: The Third, but only for owners
of the Steam version, and only for lovers of giant, novelty-sized
costumes.
Valve has released a new Team Fortress 2 update, available now for all owners of the free to play FPS via Steam. The patch brings a few crafting improvements, the addition of The Lucky Shot helmet, The Killer Exclusive is now available through the Mann Co. store, and the Mask of the Shaman is on the item drop list now as well.

Steam continue to prosper. Today, Valve announced that Steam enjoyed its
seventh year of over 100% growth in sales. Is anyone even bothering to buy
boxed copies of PC titles anymore...

PC Gamer - A sly Team Fortress 2 update yesterday added a secret wedding ring as a craftable item. Its called Something Special for Someone Special and is described as being a level 100 ring. The item wasnt revealed in the patch notes. Players posted their discovery on the Team Fortress 2 wiki after digging through the file changes made by the update.
