Gas Powered Games boss Chris Taylor's let slip that PC hardware is currently stalling plans to deliver a full-blown sequel to his RTS Supreme Commander. Speaking about the addition of new faction the Seraphim in Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance in an interview with PC Zone magazine, he explained, ... the only thing stopping me from doing it [adding new factions] on any sequel is memory.

Philips and Codemasters today announced that amBX patches will be available for Codemasters titles Overlord on November 16th, and Clive Barker's Jericho by the end of the year. Shorthand for 'ambient experiences', amBX extends the gaming experience by allowing developers to use light, color, sound, rumble and air flow through enabled devices like LED colour-controlled lighting, rumble peripherals and variable speed desktop fans.

Officially confirming previous statements by Chris Taylor of Gas Powered Games, publisher Aspyr Media has announced that PC real-time strategy title Supreme Commander is in the works for Xbox 360. Vancouver-based Hellbent Games, founded in 2006 by former Rockstar Vancouver/Barking Dog Studios designer Christopher Mair, will be handling the port. Due in early 2008, the Xbox 360 port of the game will feature newly-created units, maps, multiplayer modes, and interface and HUD elements. Xbox Live-based online multiplayer will of course be supported.

THQ announced that the standalone Supreme Commander expansion pack Forged Alliance has gone gold, and will ship to stores November 6. Developed again by Gas Powered Games, Forged Alliance features a new singleplayer campaign, a new alien faction, over a hundred additional units and extra multiplayer maps.

The latest media barrage has been fired from THQ's PR cannon, this time deploying screens, movies - and oh yes; words, detailing the new units for the Cybran faction in Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance.
