Stranglehold unloads new trailer

Inspector Tequila makes with the massive destruction

Our latest trailer spot for Stranglehold focuses on shooting up the environments as much as the baddies, with all the game's levels waiting to explode in a shower of sparks and plaster dust when riddled with bullets.

As we'd expected from the developer of the physics-crazy Psi-Ops, it's not all for effect. Instead of applying force to objects with telekinetic power, Inspector Tequila (Chow Yun-Fat) can do it the old-fashioned way with both barrels of a shotgun, toppling scenery on to unfortunate goons. In the new video - which you can check out by hitting the Movies tab above - you can see Tequila using his magical gun powers to tear apart a dinosaur skeleton, blast terra cotta statues to pieces and drop an air conditioner on an unlucky thug.

Due out early next year on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, Stranglehold is already all-but-finished - with the remaining development time being used to pack in even more destructible objects and style opportunities. And we'd call that time well spent.
