$150 to Play Full StarCraft II? (News)

Since the announcement that StarCraft II will be shipping as three separate products to be the "StarCraft II Trilogy", there has been several criticising voices against this, in terms of having to purchase several boxes, and possibly paying $150 (£75) just to get the full game.

StarCraftWire.net had an interview with Chris Sigaty, where he disclosed the details of these statements, and whether or not players will have to get them all to play simple multiplayer with each other.

The interesting fact with this presentation is that while we recently got confirmation that StarCraft II won't be joining us for the Christmas of 2008, but we WILL be seeing StarCraft II sometime during 2009.

Blizzard have released WoW, Starcraft and Diablo mobile phone Ringtones and Wallpapers, available to purchase directly from them!

You can check out the wallpapers and listen to the ringtones over at the Blizzard site. Here was the announcement earlier from Blizzard earlier:

BlizzCon Tickets Out! (News)

The ticket drawings of 1500 tickets is now concluded, and the lucky people who were drawn can now buy up to two tickets each for BlizzCon (the mathematically gifted can count that 1500 x 2 = 3000 promised tickets). For tickets not bought where people only buy one, or where people forget to check their mail, more names will be drawn from the same pool. No word on exactly when though, not even in the BlizzCon FAQ...

It's Monday, August 11th, and that means that BlizzCon tickets are on sale. Except, they're really not. Blizzard's new Blizzard Store site is epic fail broken -- all most people are seeing is the "error has occured" screen above.

Hopefully this isn't a preview of things to come. and hopefully Blizzard will figure out a fair way to get these tickets out (because right now, the site certainly isn't working). Expect more updates to this post as the process goes along.

This new concept product is made by Flynn Product Design in the UK, and besides being a twin brother to the PC game unit it also has great flexibility, just as the StarCraft II Colossus.

With the Blizzard World Wide Invitational on the way (and the new product announcement in about 3 hours!) one would almost forget that Blizzard are also showing off both Starcraft 2 and WoW: Wrath of the Lich King.

StarCraftWire.net has the first list of StarCraft 2 news from WWI, involving general resource management, Terran updates and Zerg new unit mechanics. We even have some data one a completely new Zerg unit called the Morphalisk!

The novel will have elements from the postponed FPS console game, the way the canned Warcraft Adventures was novelized. A Starcraft Ghost: Academy Manga is also in the development, by Tokyopop.

Blizzard has just announced that they sold out all the tickets for the World Wide Invitational in Paris this year.

Surfer girl says that Starcraft was originally going to be a Star Wars title, but the Lucas camp rejected the idea. So Blizzard just had to rip off inspiration from some other source. Former World Cyber Games (WCG) StarCraft: Brood War 2003 Korean champion Lee Yong Bum was nabbed for breaking into an advertising company and looted more than $18,000 of video equipment last year. WoW IncGamers got a sniff from Blizzard that they are going to hold another World Wide Invitational (like a mini-BlizzCon for the gamers and the games industry) in late June this year. Considering that StarCraft II was release during the WWI 2007 in Korea, one wonders what this one in France will give. South Korea also has a broad selection of English training books that go from your basic workbook to well¿ Starcraft English! Yes, through the magic of Starcraft you can boost your English vocabulary. While the concept seems strange, Starcraft English is actually brilliant.
