WoW needs to be dethroned. WotLK is terrible. It's the same quests in every region. The only difference between gear is a quick palette swap

I absolutely hate MMOs, but ever since I watched the cinematic trailer, and now reading this preview I think i better get saving for a decent PC!

It looks absolutely awesome!!!! Cant wait!

Holy crap, so much want. i have become so bored with WoW's samey questing and elitist gear system. It also helps that i have loved star wars since childhood, I used to play SWG till it fell apart and now my gaming life has meaning again.

The Old Republic is a credible World of Warcraft killer.

Going to be the first MMO I am willing to pay to play. This is going to be huge and glorious. I cannot wait....this should easily kill WoW and win game of the year.(And that is not an easy feat with the MASSIVE number of great games coming out.)

Looks awesome and I'm excited for it. Just one concern I have:
"If you were to play each class in turn, you wouldn’t repeat a single mission, or see a repeated location."
Though this will surely make the game interesting, how will you play any PvE with friends if none of your missions or locations are the same? I'm just worried that by trying to make it more like a single-player game they may remove the things that keep people playing MMO's in the first place. I'm sure they'll find a way to make it work, I'm just curious to see how.

A good idea in theory, but I don't like those cartoony-looking graphics at all. The last thing we need is more of that terrible Cartoon Network series.

I never particularly was in love with star wars. I mean its entertaining and im learning some of the back stories but I stopped paying for wow because after giving them 3 years worth of my money I just didnt feel right about it anymore. I mean I was one of the best tanks on my server and it felt cheapened that other casual folks walking around in all epics as well. Anyways this game looks great and gives me a reason to try and learn as much about starwars as i can. I wonder what the specs will be but im guessinging my quad core i7 will eat this games breakfast and steal its lunch money. You think they will charge 15 a month like wow or maybe 10 a month?

In a lot of the screen shots, it looks as though the player is on foot. Even at level one there should be a way to ride around on a speeder, tauntaun,hover car, or something. Not only is it Star Wars, but who wants to run around for miles in anonther MMO.

That was always an issue for me, running around for ever...

if it is rated E i am going abandon all hope
if it is another MMO i am going cry (like a man)
if the game is shit i am going to laugh at u all
if the game is good i should be on xbox and ps3
