Is S.T.A.L.K.E.R. developer GSC Game World looking to jump on the massively multiplayer online bandwagon?

“If you mean an MMOG, then we are seriously considering it,” comments state on a community Q&A in response to the question "Will there be S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Online?"

The developer is best known in wider gaming circles for its irradiated shooter S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl, but it's also seen success with its Cossack strategy series and has dabbled with fantasy and RTS-RPG hybrid action in Heroes of Annihilated Empires.

GSC recently sparked speculation on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. coming to Xbox 360 when it revealed last month that it has become a certified Xbox developer.
