S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky has been slapped with an August 29 release date, developer GSC Game World staying true to its promise that the game would be out in 2008.

Clear Sky acts as a prequel to events portrayed in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl. A number of features planned for the first title that were eventually dropped are returning, meaning we're expecting a game far closer to its original vision for the first outing in the Zone.
