Life, the universe and everything... has been delayed
Words: GamesRadar US
The first phase of creating life sees you concentrating on individual creatures, determining diet and behavior but when your subjects have evolved you will be guiding whole clans and species as they inevitably spread throughout the galaxy. By this stage, you're more likely to be worrying about whether your people should develop nuclear technology, rather than what they eat. In this game, you really are God. Don't let it go to your head.
Remember, everything you see starts out as a single microbe - so, bearing in mind not just the complexity of a world like this, but also the fact that you can create as many separate worlds as you like, Spore looks likely to break every single record for game longevity. And it's not just random growth - there's always a motivation for moving to the next level of civilization.
