Serious Sam II: First ever screens

Take 2 imprint 2K Games has just released the first official shots of Serious Sam II, the crazed shooting sequel that's due to hit PC and Xbox later this year.

"Gamers have been anxiously anticipating a full sequel ever since Serious Sam The Second Encounter was released back in 2002," comments 2K bod Christoph Hartmann.

"With a brand-new engine and greatly expanded gameplay, we think fans will agree that the return of Sam has been well worth the wait."

The game will be unveiled properly for the first time at E3, so expect a full hands-on report in the coming weeks.

Serious Sam II will be released for Xbox and PC in the autumn
