Jagex has been handed down compensatory damages that compels Mark and Eric Snellman to pay Jagex for their creation of bots to be used in RuneScape.
RuneScape developer Jagex has unveiled a brand new website and logo for its popular free-to-play online role-playing game.

<br /> Launching tomorrow, the redesigned website will sport a brand new look, as well as an array of new tools and features.

<br /> New features include a brand new community-editable RuneScape wiki, which will be available for all players to edit and add to.
<br />
<br /> Meanwhile, an events section will be devoted to organising and advertising events, which will enable users to "put up details on the events feed and place a location pin into the events map to direct prospective attendees".

Yesterday marked the 10th anniversary of the long-running MMO RuneScape. To celebrate the landmark at this year’s RuneFest convention in London, developer Jagex commissioned a custom game cake from Ace of Cakes’ Charm City Cakes. Standing a full one meter tall and weighing in at over 80 lbs., the heavy dessert showcased Daemonheim’s Castle and popular NPCs, including Blasidar, Grim Reaper, and the Fairy Queen, before it was devoured by 500 RuneScape fans and the Jagex staff...
This past Tuesday marked Bot-Nuking Day in the free to play MMORPG Runescape which supposedly would introduce a new update that would be able to catch 98% of players who bot. Today however Jagex announced they they have sent out cease and desist emails to suspected botters threatening to sue them for statutory damages ranging from $200 to $2,500 per act of past, present, and/or future botting.
Jagex, the folks behind Runescape, a free-to-play and crazily popular MMORPG have said they want to bring the game to all consoles once they become more open to the sort of online experience they offer.

Massively: Last week, we brought you the news that browser-based fantasy MMO RuneScape would be introducing clan citadels in its next expansion. We heard that these customisable castles in the sky would feature a tier-based progression system, but until now we didn't know what the actual castles would look like or if any kind of new gameplay would come with them. Jagex has just revealed that the expansion's gameplay element is potentially as huge and revolutionary as their massive Dungeons of Daemonheim update.

Perform a portal ritual to gain a huge, customisable and personalised area for your clan, equipped with a Battlefield Editor to design your own battles and minigames! Before that, two queens await you in July: the Slug Queens after your mind (with a side order of world domination), while the Jadinko Queen seems more interested in your help.
Today a new player survey was put up on the Runescape site asking players to give they opinions on certain matters of the game and their gaming habits. Pretty general stuff, however towards the end was a series of questions asking players how they felt about paid subscriptions and items stores.
