id releases new Quake 4 MP demo and maps

New demo features three maps and new updates released in latest Point Release Patch

A new Quake 4 multiplayer demo has been released by id Software, the new release featuring the updates in the Quake 4 1.4.2 Point Release Patch that the developer made available last week.

The demo features three maps (Verticon, Over the Edge and Speed Trap) and id says the new demo is "not compatible with any other versions of Quake 4" - i.e. "players will only be able to connect and play against other Quake 4 1.4.2 Demo users."

Head over to id Software's website for download links.

Features of the 1.4.2 Point Release include refined hitboxes, optimized sound and network code, moddable fps caps and weapon balancing.
