GameAgent, a small digital distribution site for PC and Mac games, is offering a 50% off sale on all games in its catalog. The sale is already in effect and goes through Thursday, April 30th.

Mac users can pick up Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for under $30, while PC users can grab PuzzleQuest: Galactix and the 1701 A.D. games for $10. Oh and if you've ever been on the fence with Stubbs the Zombie, there should be no more excuses as the title runs only $5.

D3Publisher of America announced today that Puzzle Quest: Galactrix, the latest addition to the beloved Puzzle Quest universe developed by Infinite Interactive, has shipped to retail across North America, for PC and DS - the PS3 and Xbox 360 version will be released later this year. The game incorporates a blend of casual and hardcore gameplay elements, similar to those featured in Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords, into an all-new futuristic, science-fiction setting. In related news, GamersGate has announced that Puzzle Quest: Galactrix is also available via GamersGate digital distribution portal.

If you’re reading this, you probably know that the brilliance of Puzzle Quest lies in the beautiful matrimony between casual and hardcore. The original PQ took a casual puzzle concept (Bejeweled) and legitimized it with plenty of hardcore RPG elements like intense battles, character leveling and engrossing story. Puzzle Quest: Galactrix continues this noble pursuit (in space!), and while it may look quite different from its fantasy-themed predecessor, it still has the same feel of the original Puzzle Quest at heart ...

Last night we finally got to try out Puzzle Quest: Galactrix for ourselves, and right off the bat we realized that while Galactrix does look quite different from its predecessor, Puzzle Quest fans will find that at heart, it still feels like the same game we know and love.

The easiest way to describe the gameplay is that it’s like a Bejeweled RPG with competitive battles (either against AI opponents in story mode or against friends in online matches) ...

Help focus test new Puzzle Quest game in LA (News)

D3Publisher of America is looking for volunteers to focus test the "next game in the Puzzle Quest franchise." If you live in the Los Angeles area and have played the original Puzzle Quest, contact lisa[at]mindofthegamer[dawt]com and place "Puzzle Quest Research" in the subject line.

Emails must be received by April 18 and participants will be chosen on a first come, first served basis; there will also be screening for "additional criteria." Joystiq spoke with a representative who told them participants will be mostly testing Galactrix, a little Revenge of the Plague Lord, and "other" Puzzle Quest related things.

No Puzzle Quest: Galactrix For PSP, Mac... For Now (News)

Earlier this week, MTV Multiplayer wrote that Puzzle Quest: Galactrix, the sequel to Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords, would be released on PC, DS, Xbox Live Arcade as well as the PSP and "possibly Apple Mac," all according to the official website. However, when they checked the next day, on Tuesday, February 26, the PSP and "possibly Apple Mac" versions were removed.

MTV Multiplayer put in a request to D3 Publisher of America to ask them why.

D3PA Snares New Puzzle Quest, Bangai-O (News)

D3Publisher of America has picked up the distribution rights to both Puzzle Quest: Galactrix and Bangai-O Spirits.

Puzzle Quest: Galactrix is the successor to the popular Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords and will feature a sci-fi setting and a new hexagonal puzzle board.

Bangai-O Spirits is a remake of the classic Treasure shooter, Bangai-O, with new multiplayer features and the "Sound Load" technology for transferring user created levels.

Puzzle Quest: Galactrix will release for DS, PC and Xbox Live Arcade in Fall 2008. Bangai-O Spirits will release on DS in Spring 2008.
