Infinite Interactive has released a new update for its title Puzzle Quest: Galactrix, now available for download.
GameAgent, a small digital distribution site for PC and Mac games, is offering a 50% off sale on all games in its catalog. The sale is already in effect and goes through Thursday, April 30th. Mac users can pick up Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for under $30, while PC users can grab PuzzleQuest: Galactix and the 1701 A.D. games for $10. Oh and if you've ever been on the fence with Stubbs the Zombie, there should be no more excuses as the title runs only $5.
Ahead of its European release next week, D3Publisher have once again been generous enough to release a complete Walkthrough Guide, this time for the highly anticipated PC release of Puzzle Quest: Galactrix.
D3Publisher of America announced today that Puzzle Quest: Galactrix, the latest addition to the beloved Puzzle Quest universe developed by Infinite Interactive, has shipped to retail across North America, for PC and DS - the PS3 and Xbox 360 version will be released later this year. The game incorporates a blend of casual and hardcore gameplay elements, similar to those featured in Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords, into an all-new futuristic, science-fiction setting. In related news, GamersGate has announced that Puzzle Quest: Galactrix is also available via GamersGate digital distribution portal.
Last night, D3 cleared out the back of Meltdown Comics on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood to launch PuzzleQust: Galactrix. Carlos Macias of Kezins.com was on-site to report on the event and came back with photos and information from the event.

A brief demo for Puzzle Quest: Galactrix is available now at the Puzzle Quest website. The demo consists of only one battle, but it’ll give you a good idea of how the game mechanics work, and how much has changed from Puzzle Quest’s first entry, Challenge of the Warlords.
1up writes: As with the original Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords before it, D3Publisher has decided to provide their fans with a browser-based, flash demo for Puzzle Quest: Galaxctrix. Playable on the company's website, the brief demo should help to illustrate the precise differences between the medieval Challenge of the Warlords and its sci-fi follow-up -- differences that extend far beyond setting and aesthetics.
With most retail games clocking in at somewhere around 20 hours, the prospect of 30 to 60 gameplay hours for an Xbox Live Arcade Game is surprising. D3Publisher of America is looking for volunteers to focus test the next game in the Puzzle Quest franchise. Emails must be received by April 18 and participants will be chosen on a first come, first served basis; there will also be screening for additional criteria. Joystiq spoke with a representative who told them participants will be mostly testing Galactrix, a little Revenge of the Plague Lord, and other Puzzle Quest related things.
