Nominations for Develop Industry Excellence Awards are unveiled, and two developers are likely to walk away with most of them.

Rockstar and Media Molecule will be contesting for the most category nominations. Rockstar snags six of them with GTA: Chinatown Wars and GTA IV: The Lost and the Damned from Rockstar while Media Molecule's LittleBigPlanet alone is nominated for another five.

Taking place on Thursday April 23rd at The Brewery, Chiswell Street, London, this year's MCV Industry Excellence Awards will be the most hotly-contested ever, with 17 accolades up for grabs, across a diverse range of categories covering the entire industry.

Nintendo, EA, Ubisoft, Microsoft, Sega and Activision will battle it out for the Games Publisher Award, whilst individual titles Guitar Hero World Tour, GTA IV, FIFA 09, Fallout 3, Wii Fit and Call of Duty: World At War compete for Game Campaign.

Bluesnews: "Disney Interactive Studios has released a playable demo for the PC edition of Pure, the 4x4 off-road stunt racing game created by Black Rock Studio. "Pure" is an off-road, trick-oriented ATV racer, but you wouldn't know it from the title.

Most racing games attempt to be descriptive about their content in the title, but "Pure" is the opposite. It tells you nothing about the game itself.

That sounds like a risk, so MTV Multiplayer asked "Pure" game designer Chris Bowles how they came up with the name.

Here are 23 Pure screenshots that weighed in at 231.7MB. Excessive? Yes, but the game does look bloody nice.

The environments look so good it's the sort of game that should be seen in screens that are nine-bazillion pixels wide, but we shrunk them down to a sensible size so as not to snap the internet, and so you can actually see them today.
